Choosing Safer Activities

According to newly update CDC guidelines, “If you are fully vaccinated, you can resume activities that you did before the pandemic.”

For Outdoor Activities:

The Safest activities for unvaccinated people are:

  • Walk, run wheelchair roll, or bike outdoors with members of your household (no mask necessary)
  • Attend a small, outdoor gathering with fully vaccinated family and friends (no mask necessary)
  • Attend a small outdoor gathering with fully vaccinated and unvaccinated people (masked)

A Less Safe activity for unvaccinated (masked) people is:

  • Dine at an outdoor restaurant with friends from multiple households

A Least Safe activity for unvaccinated (masked) people is:

  • Attend a crowded, outdoor event, like a live performance, parade, or sports event.

For Indoor Activities:

The Less Safe activities for unvaccinated (masked) people include:

  • Visit a barber or hair salon
  • Got to an uncrowded, indoor shopping center or museum
  • Attend a small, indoor gathering of fully vaccinated and unvaccinated people from multiple households

The Least Safe activities for unvaccinated (masked) people include:

  • Go to an indoor movie theater
  • Attend a full-capacity worship service
  • Sing in an indoor chorus
  • Eat at an indoor restaurant or bar
  • Participate in an indoor, high-intensity exercise class
