DALLAS, TEXAS– GBE&W, a noted entrepreneurial employee and executive benefits firm, announced that its chief executive officer, Libbie Wilmer, received the coveted “Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising” award from Employee Benefits Adviser magazine. Wilmer was presented with the honor along with 19 other women by the publication’s editor-in-chief, Elizabeth Galentine, during the recent annual Workplace Benefits Summit held in Boca Raton, Florida. Following the presentation ceremony, a champagne reception toasted the award recipients.
“The Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising” award is an inaugural award for Employee Benefits Adviser. The honor recognizes women who are making extraordinary contributions in the Human Resources (HR) and benefits field. Twenty winners were selected from over 90 nominations submitted. 
“These women represent firms from across the country, and they range from business owners to lobbyists to marketing directors to compliance officers, “ said Elizabeth Galentine, editor-in-chief of Employee Benefit Adviser. “They were chosen for demonstrating leadership and ingenuity in the field of employee benefits and for elevating the status of all women in the industry through their mentorship and strong example.
“Libbie, in particular, ensured her agency was on the forefront of Affordable Care Act compliance, and led the purchase of agencies that were not,” added Galentine. “Our publication’s editors were impressed with her analytical and agency management systems designed to compete with the largest consultancies in the country.”
